Fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped 1 1/2 cups
Fresh cherries, stemmed, pitted, and halved 1 1/2 cups
White sugar 1/3 cup
Cornstarch 1 tablespoon
Juice of 1 lime
  
Crust
Unsalted butter, room temperature 1 cup
White sugar 3/4 cup
Zest of 1 lime
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
All-purpose flour 2 1/2 cups
  
Topping
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Almond flakes 1/3 cup
Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon
Brown sugar, packed 2/3 cup
Salt 1/4 teaspoon
Unsalted butter, cut into pieces 1/2 cup
Cooking Method
Step 01
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, mix sugar, cornstarch, and lime juice. Add strawberries and cherries, stirring gently to coat.

In a separate bowl, beat butter, sugar, lime zest, vanilla, and salt until creamy. Gradually mix in flour until dough forms.

Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan and spread the berry mixture over the crust.

For the topping, combine flour, almond flakes, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl.
